- To travel from Hue to Pakse, you need a Lao visa obtained from the Lao embassy or consulate in Hanoi/Da Nang/Ho Chi Minh City (if you are not visa-free) + a valid Vietnamese visa. Address of the Lao Consulate in Da Nang: 16 Tran Quy Cap Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang.  Remember to bring two 4x6 photos with a white background.
