1. Sleeper bus from Da Nang to Xeno - Savannakhet, Laos

• Route: Da Nang, Vietnam to Xeno - Savannakhet (Vietlaobus - Yen Hai)
• Departure Point: Hoang Van Thai Junction Gas Station, Da Nang
• Destination Arrival: Xeno Bus Station. Then we transferred to a minivan to go to Savannakhet.
• Departure Time from Danang: 8:00 AM (Arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes in advance)
• Vehicle Type: Sleeper bus
• Arrival Time at Xeno bus station: 8pm - 9:00 PM (11 Hours - 12 hours) + 1 hours from with a minivan from Xeno to Savannakhet
• Border Crossing: Lao Bao Border gate

  - Currently there is only Lao Bao border gate, Quang Tri, you can apply for a Lao visa at the border gate. (Except for some nationals who are not allowed to apply for a Lao visa at the border gate)
  - To apply for a Lao visa at the border gate, you need to prepare 2 - 4x6 white background photos + 40 USD Lao Visa + 2 border gate fees. Passport is valid for more than 6 months

Our advice:

• Our bus doesn't run directly from Da Nang/Hue to Savannakhet. It stops at Xeno bus station along the way, where you can purchase a minivan ticket to Savannakhet.
• The minivan usually waits for other buses to fill up before departing – so there will be extra waiting time.
• Our advice is to book your ticket to Xeno for 1,100,000 VND from Da Nang and 950,000 VND from Hue. Once you arrive at Xeno, you can proactively choose your transportation to Savannakhet. If the minivan says it will depart immediately, you can buy their ticket for 100,000 VND, or you can book a private Grab car for more flexibility and to arrive in Savannakhet sooner (without waiting).

2. Sleeper bus from Hue to Xeno - Savannakhet, Laos

• Route: Hue, Vietnam to Xeno, Laos (Vietlaobus - Yen Hai)
• Departure point: Pick-up at the hotel at 9:45AM / 10AM at Hue Southern Bus Station Petrol Station - 99 An Duong Vuong Street, An Cuu Ward, Hue City / 10:30AM at Ngo Dong Petrol Station No. 75 Hue Southern Bus Station - 16 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Huong An Ward, Hue City.
• Destination Arrival: Xeno Bus Station. Then we transferred to a minivan to go to Savannakhet.
• Pick-up time: 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM 
• Vehicle type: Sleeper bus
• Arrival time at Xeno bus station: 8:00PM  (9 - 10 Hours) + 1 hours from with a minivan from Xeno to Savannakhet
